Do I need Park Approved Firewood?

In March of 2015 the National Park Service and the US Forrest Service began requiring USDA certified park approved wood to be used in all National Parks and on all US Forrest Service land, including campgrounds and campsites. This requirement is to limit pests within the National Forests and on  US Forrest Service Land.  You do not need Park approved wood for use inside your home, on personal property, or privately owned campgrounds for example. However Park Approved Firewood Bundles and typically consist of  hardwood and are kill-dried so they are a great option for any location.
